0xDEED: @Chud: not how history works. the mongols were tied to a nomadic lifestyle which gave them a temporary logistical advantage over europe and china (they could raise horses on steppe grass, giving lots of easy caloric energy, supporting a large and mobile population). once europe and china developed larger, centralized states and more efficient agricultural systems they then had the logistical advantage and could muster standing armies large enough to drive the mongols back. no amount of good leadership would save the mongols because they were tied to an inferior mode of production.
