Good question, thing is that most splinters inherently fail.
Though, a very select few manage to be okay and set up a system to keep their userbase safe.
Thing is that if a large sum of the immigrants coming there keep posting mass amount of hatred for the sharty, it will kind of just look like a complaint website rather than a comfortable atmosphere for people who just want to get away from excess noise.

I agree with the second part, a lot of people who use splinters are outcasts but it comes down to which one though since it's sort of a second chance, they can act innocent and try to do some soyops. Eventhen, the zarty is only comprised of people who mainly like ongezellig, soyjaks are just there due to relation, kind of like how the 'foo is. Splinters like the sw1nny and sh3mmy were made to encompass soyjaks as a whole and as a general bunker for people who got banned on the sharty (eventhen, vpns exist).
