Chud24: Yet again another mindbroken westoid conflates "religion" with Abrahamism. Nothing in the Binding of Isaac is even remotely relevant to non-Abrahamic religion, it's the core motif.

Regarding SMT, everyone knows "haha you kill God xD" but the point specifically is that you kill the ABRAHAMIC God. Since SMT is a work of syncretism it has ample frame of reference to both realize and illustrate the evil of Abrahamism. The protagonists make pacts with Celtic gods, ingest magatama (Shinto motif) to gain power, engage in extreme Japanese nationalism with Taira no Masakado, are helped and hindered in equal measure by the implacably stubborn Buddhist deities.
