chudnater2: @Chud: no? both are relatively similar albeit volga tatars have slightly more mongol DNA due to the Volga region being setteled by mongols. Chuvash are the pure descendants of Volga Bulgarians (a finno-turkic people) that fled into the forests after the mongols killed 80% of the western steppe. Both have a lot of white features, it's just that volga tatars have more mongol heritage

Chud2: @chudnater2: There is no pure population in the volga region, each are a mix of bulgars/scythians/finnics/slavs etc in varying proportions. Volga have trace mongol ancestry yes, but it's counteracted by a greater degree of scythian ancestry that results in a more european profile overall. On vahaduo models volgas score ~19% east eurasian while chuvashes score ~23%

Sectionalism: @chudnater2: Gagauz are White. And Rumelian Turks are probably more European than the Chuvash. I think Volga Tatars are so more European than Chuvash but I don't remember
